President's Message
Our social gathering last week at The Steelers was very pleasant. Sadly our chief organizer Annette had covid and couldn’t join us. We did miss others also who couldn’t make it for various reasons but we had a good rollup nonetheless. It was nice to have Betsy join us again. Betsy is a former Rotarian and has attended many of our events in the past few years.
Our thoughts and best wishes are with our members who are battling various illnesses.
Thank you as usual to those who worked on our bbq on Monday and at the Charles raffles. Remember, everyone is welcome to join us at these raffles on Thursdays 6-7pm and Friday 5-7pm.
Remember also our combined clubs Ride4Rotary event is coming soon – Sunday 18 th May. It will be a day filled with activity at Lang Park since we have combined with the event Ride Wollongong, "Festival of Cycling”. So even if you aren’t riding, come along and enjoy the day. For more information: https://ridewollongong.com.au/
Tonight Kirsten Nixon will be joining us to tell us of her journey from nursing to storytelling. If the titles of her writings are any indication, I’m sure it will be fascinating.
See you then
President Rose
