Reflection – Janet Crakanthorp
To the amazing men and women who when to war for there country and unfortunately came back injured and now have a chance to meet and compete with soldiers, veterans alike at the Invictus
games. This year they were held in Toronto and Whistler. Over 500 injured persons attended to compete and support one another from throughout the world. Opened by my Friend Harry (not everybody’s friend apparently).
May the Invictus games carry on for years to come. The lives it has
also saved supporting those that have represented their countries but have come home, having to start a new life after enduring both physical and mental instability.
International Toast – Rose Pope

Phil Peckman introduced our representative for the RYLA workshop
Cerentha. She is presently a student at the University of Wollongong. She studies Medical Science, enjoys Art, cooking and baking. She loves to Travel. Cerentha found the week at RYLA amazing and learnt a great deal more skills in leadership. She was also asked to come back as a group leader next year.
Phil Peckman presented Cerentha with a pen made by Ken Potter and thanked her very much for speaking with the Club tonight.
Please put your name down in Club Runner if you wish to attend the Peace Oration at the Master Builders Club. We also need to know numbers so that we can book tables for dinner after the talk.
Wine raffle winners – Milan and Kevin
Milan - will advise if the BBQ will be going ahead at Lang Park by lunchtime Saturday. BBQ Monday, please read the roster and also the rosters for the rest of the week.
Phil Peckman gave us a lesson on Club Runner so that everybody in the club can transition across. Phil's best suggestion was to have a play around with it because you cannot break it!
Congratulations Kate for producing the first bulletin on Club Runner.
Ken Potter did a quick walk around for the charity box.
Rose Pope closed the meeting at 7.35pm
