Well, our speaker for the Peace Oration – Dr Glenn Kolomeitz – didn’t disappoint. I doubt anyone would have more knowledge and insight into the situation surrounding Ukraine and Russia. He spoke for about an hour but I’m sure he could have gone a lot longer and if prepared, we could have listened for longer. All visitors I spoke to commended us and Dr Kolomeitz and were more than happy to have attended despite the less than happy content.
Thank you John, Michael, Patrick and Phil for all your time and effort which made the evening such a success.
I look forward to some discussion on it this week as well as some thoughts on plans for next year.
Please take note of upcoming events in my email and in the bulletin including the park cleanup and the bbqs.
Tonight we must (a little belatedly) toast our club’s 61 st birthday. Our Charter Day was March 23rd 1964.
