Presidents Message

How good was the Change-over celebration!!

It’s always so satisfying when preparation comes off without any mishaps. An evening of information, interaction with donation recipients, catch-ups, a bit of fun and frivolity (especially when one of our new presidents got tangled up in the word “successful”.

Many thanks to PP Phil and Eduardo for all the preparation and table decorations, and to Rose and Yvonne for the slide and screen show, to PDG Dr Janice Hall for proposing the toast to rotary and our club, and especially to MC John.

It was pleasing to share the much-deserved awarding of PHFs to members Michael and Dennis as recognition of their service to Community, to Rotary, and to our club. A perfect example of “SERVICE ABOVE SELF”.

I look forward to my first meeting of the Rotary year … especially as it is a social evening at the local Club Germania. If you haven’t yet noted attendance better contact Michael ASAP.

All the best,

President Bob

Red Shield Appeal 2026

The Rotary Club of West Wollongong once again participated in the 2026 Red Shield Appeal. The team once again collected from 8AM to 4PM at the netball courts at Fred Finch Park, Berkeley. Many players, family and friends were very generous with their contributions to the collection. The total collected during the day was $1637. The Salvation Army is always very thankful to our club members for giving their time to support the Red Shield Appeal.

Many thanks to Marilyn Phillips for assisting on the day.
