The Illawarra Rotary Clubs End Polio Train Ride to Bomaderry was very enjoyable and successful. Numerous members of the public commented or asked about it. Plus our local clubs raised a total of $6.850 of which $100 was also contributed by the Illawarra Rotaract Club. Joining the ride from our club were President Phil, Rose, Ros and Paul Yeoman and Di Reid.
The District End Polio Train Ride raised over $100,000!! Well done all.

President's Message
Our Club social nights always feel good. It gives everyone a chance to relax, not think about Rotary for a while, and have a good chat. We had a great turnout to our Pizza Night at Centro CBD with quite a few partners coming along as well. Even though the weather didn't cooperate for use of the wood fired oven and courtyard, a great time was had by all. It was nice to see Mal & Thelma Bracken and a chance for us to wish them both well in the years ahead. Thank you to Rose Pope for organising a very enjoyable evening.

Marilyn Phillips and I (in Ken's absence) had the pleasure of attending the IMB Bank Community Foundation Grants Announcement for 2025. I am pleased to advise that the submission by Ken & Marilyn, for continuation of funding for the RYDA Youth Program, was successful and will enable to RYDA to continue throughout 2026. A great result for our Club and Youth of the Illawarra. Well done and thank you to Ken & Marilyn for submitting a successful application and the continuing effort both you and members provide in running this wonderful program.

This week is our Pride of Workmanship presentation dinner at Centro CBD. We have six deserving award recipients this year for what I am sure will be a great night. Just a reminder to all who are attending to please pay for your seat prior to Tuesday lunch time to enable number confirmation. I look forward to seeing you all there.

Cheers,
President Phil

Social Night at Centro last week

Sadly it was probably the worst weather for ages so we dined inside. Due to Centro's excellent organisation, we had a delightful evening nonetheless, enjoying beaut canapes and never ending pizzas.
