Chelsea Marques
Scholar Profile
Chelsea was successful in being awarded this two-year scholarship covering 2026 and 2027. She is currently undertaking her third year of a Bachelor of Arts degree (Psychology Major) with the aim of transitioning into an Honours year in 2027.
Throughout her studies and personal life, she has been actively involved in the community through volunteering, supporting local initiatives and participating in activities that contribute to the wellbeing of others.
Chelsea understands that Rotary extends beyond its reputation as a service organisation committed to “Service Above Self”, and she strongly identifies with Rotary’s work in supporting education, fostering leadership and service to the community.
Chelsea’s long-term career aspiration is to become a clinical psychologist working with children of all ages, especially those with autism and perhaps engage in more research on Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) therapy to support these children during their crucial period of growth; being a clinical psychologist would allow Chelsea to fulfil her long-time goal of supporting individuals facing mental health challenges and contribute to improving the overall wellbeing within the community.
Her goal is to build a career where she can make a lasting contribution to society, and Chelsea believes this scholarship will help her access opportunities that will strengthen her ability to fulfil these aspirations.
